What is Consandtrate made of and what is it used for?Consandtrate - Intelligent Bond is a polymerized concrete material designed to mix with dry sand to make polymeric sand for jointing pavers. Our Intelligent Bond technology creates a high performance jointing compound that is strong and flexible. When mixed with aggregate and then exposed to water, Consandtrate cures to form a hardened infill for jointing concrete and natural stones. It is the only product on the market that allows anyone to make their own polymeric sand for paver joints.

What kind of aggregate do I use to mix with Consandtrate?To make polymeric sand with Consandtrate, you will need to mix it with an appropriate filler material, like dry masonry sand or blended stone dust.

What is the ratio of Consandtrate to sand? Can it be altered?A standard ratio of 1 part Consandtrate to 10 parts dry sand yields a high performance polymeric sand ideal for jointing pavers and natural stone. Projects with low risk to stressors can use a standard ratio to maximize yield and coverage. When high intensity stressors like shifting are anticipated, the ratio can be adjusted up to 1 part Consandtrate to 5 parts dry sand to maximize the strength and durability of the polymeric sand.

How much polymeric sand does 10 LB of Consandtrate make?10 LBs of Consandtrate will yield 100 LBs polymeric sand when using a ratio of 1 part Consandtrate to 10 parts dry sand.

How do I mix Consandtrate?*Always wear a dust mask, gloves, and safety goggles when handling* When mixing Consandtrate with aggregate the goal is uniform consistency throughout. Whether you hand mix in a plastic tub, wheelbarrow, or cement mixer, the technique is to mix it thoroughly. You can use a shovel, spade tool, or a hoe to pull and mix Consandtrate with the aggregate. Continue mixing by alternating directions. Pour the blend out in another container and pour it back in the original to ensure there is proper rotation. Alternate between both steps until the Consandtrate is blended cohesively throughout the entire mix.

Do I need to seal the paver joints?Sealing paver joints will add permability to your joints and make them more resistant to weather and stains.

How long will my polymeric sand last once installed?Polymeric sand made with Consandtrate lasts between 10-15 years when installed and maintained properly. After installation it is best to finish your project with a sealant to maximize the life expectancy of your project. Sealant should be reapplied as instructed by the products manufacturer.

What is Dry Crack Filler?Dry Crack Filler is the easiest way to fill cracks in concrete. It is a polymerized concrete crack filler made with Consandtrate - Intelligent Bond and blended aggregate. It is used to easily fill cracks in hardscape without the hassle or mess of traditional mortars.

What is Dry Crack Filler used for?Dry Crack Filler is used for filling and jointing cracks and missing grout in your patio, walkway, or pool deck. The blend provides joint stabilization for natural stone, bricks, and concrete. It is ideal for both fine hairline cracks and wider cracks up to 2".

How long does Dry Crack Filler take to cure?After installing, Dry Crack Filler dries to the touch within 1 hour, and is fully hardened after 24 hours. A full 20 day cure cycle is recommended after installation before applying a sealant to ensure it is completely set and the water has evaporated completely.

How long will Dry Crack Filler last?Dry Crack Filler is designed to stay jointed with concrete through shifting and shrinkage. When installed properly Dry Crack Filler can last up to 10 years.

Can I install Dry Crack Filler if it's supposed to rain soon?To avoid risk of washing out, Dry Crack Filler should be allowed to dry a full 48 hours before exposed to rain.

Do I need to backfill cracks before installing Dry Crack Filler?A backfill should be applied to larger cracks deeper than 2". Traditional materials used for back fills are masonry sand, pea gravel, or foam.

If you would like to sample options at home, we offer samples in our shop. Our pigmented crack fillers reflect the most popular stained concrete options. Due to the extensive variety throughout the market, most stained concrete is unique and customized. This means most people with stained concrete will experience difficulty getting the exact same result when revisiting it. To combat the inconsistencies within the industry we have expanded our stained concrete crack filler pigments to 30 different options. We might not have the exact pigment that was used in your concrete, but we definitely can get pretty close!
